Victron Phoenix Inverter 48/1200 | VE.Direct | 1200VA Output| 48VDC Input | 120VAC Output

The Phoenix Inverter VE.Direct is a uniquely compact, low-frequency inverter with a built-in full bridge toroidal transformer allowing it to handle large surge capacity from inductive loads. The Phoenix is distinctly efficient, with around 10W standard idle consumption or as low as 1-2w in eco mode. Compared to larger inverters, idle consumption can often be upwards of 100W+. This feature alone sets this unit apart and makes it perfect for running continuous loads throughout a 24hr period with the most efficiency possible.

Key Features:

  • Connection versatility with desktop computers and mobile devices
  • Fully configurable:
    • Low battery voltage alarm trip and reset levels
    • Low battery voltage cut-off and restart levels
    • Dynamic cut-off: load-dependent cut-off level
    • Output: 120V 60 Hz
  • In-and-output voltage, load percentage, and alarm monitoring
  • Full-bridge PLUS toroidal transformer topology
  • Short-circuit proof
  • Overheat protection
  • ECO Mode included
  • Programmable remote power switch

This inverter is a great start for a small Solar set up.

Perfect for Off-grid

I was using a Growatt 6000T but the idle power was draining my batteries. Also, at night I only needed power every hour or so for my small refrigerator but the Growatt power saver mode is not programmable for the threshold current nor for the sensing interval so my refrigerator did not draw enough power to turn on the inverter. The Victron Phoenix 48/1200 was the perfect solution. Now I run all my electronics such as cable modem, router, laptops, lamps, etc, with the Victron which has much less idle power consumption, and at night I use the Victron's eco-mode for the refrigerator. I programmed the eco-mode for the power draw of my refrigerator and set the sensing interval for 2 minutes which is plenty often enough. I still use the Growatt for PV tracking and battery charge controller, and use its inverter only for more power-hungry tools such as my circular saw, drill press, angle grinder, etc.
