Chiko USA GroundFlex U2V Solar Panel Ground Mount Kit | Large Module Version

Introducing the Chiko USA S-U2V Solar Panel Ground Mount System – a solution that seamlessly accommodates a wide range of environmental conditions. Crafted from high-performance, all-galvanized materials, this system is built to endure, boasting a service life of over 30 years.

Streamlined for quick and easy assembly in the field, all components come pre-cut and pre-drilled. This not only enhances installation efficiency but also significantly reduces time and labor costs for large-scale solar farm construction.

The Chiko USA S-U2V stands out for its versatility and scalability, making it the ideal choice for adapting to various configurations and terrains, ensuring a perfect fit for your solar project.

*Before making a decision on a footer option, Signature Solar highly recommends that customers conduct a soil test to determine the best option for your particular soil composition.

Trident: The Trident Mount serves as an alternative to traditional foundations in areas with solid compact soil. The CHIKOUSA Trident Mount utilizes groundbreaking piling technology and eliminates the need for digging, rebar or concrete footers. Without the need for footers, you can simply place the Trident Mount at the desired install location and the 3 cylinder piles lock into the ground resulting in an unmatched bearing capacity and pull out capacity when compared to other same class footer options.

Ground Screw: Reserved for rockier areas, CHIKOUSA's ground screw will lock your rack into place and ensure a secure connection that delivers the strength, stability, and pull-out resistance as other foundation options.

Concrete/NGS: This option is for those planning to build a concrete pad for your mount or needing extra stability with their install due to loose soil. The CHIKOUSA Concrete Footer is engineered for strength and longevity and provides a stable, secure foundation for residential, commercial, and utility-scale solar installations.

High Wind Modules: The variables that impact which system you need include the number of panels being installed and the wind/snow load requirements within your specific region. Higher wind and snow regions require the High Wind module.

Great Product, But Think Twice About GroundScrews

This thing turned out great, much better than my previous DIY unistrut. I only had two issues, one was that a box/bags of nuts/bolts got lost in transit, unfortunately I didn't count them all out (there were hundreds) and so didn't realize until quite late. The other was the groundscrews. I was installing this in the Summer in hard ground, no rocks. The videos I watched of groundscrews were mostly in the winter, even saw one of people doing it by hand. This was not my case, I ended up renting a 4HP 2 man auger, drilling a pilot hole, then rigging up a contraption to connect the 2 man auger to the screw. This would eventually shear off the locking pin and then overheated / melted the 2 man auger belt. Next I rented a towable 12 HP auger, this one was even better at shearing off locking pins! In the end it took a lot of work to get the screws to dig in, and some never really did. So a few we cut in half and cemented into the ground. In the end, I would have saved time in my situation skipping the groundscrews and just drilling holes and using cement for everything. If you have access to a Skidsteer, you should have better luck though.
